Katie is from a military family who moved around often but she calls Colorado home. She attended Colorado State University where she graduated with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. After graduation, she joined the Army and attended the Army-Baylor University Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. She has served as a physical therapist at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY, overseas at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, and locally at Joint Base Lewis McChord. Her military background has brought her unique experience in working with high level collegiate and tactical athletes in both injury rehabilitation and athletic performance improvement settings. She is board certified in orthopedics and is experienced in working with advanced manual therapy techniques. She holds certifications in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). She is also trained in vestibular rehabilitation and post-concussive care. She is passionate about working with athletes of all ages and preventing injuries before they occur. She enjoys playing lacrosse, running, traveling and spending time with her husband, Dave, and two dogs, Copper and Louie.
